Children and adults alike love African drumming! These workshops are fun, inclusive, and energising. Students learn playing techniques, pulse, tempo, improvisation skills, and authentic rhythms from West African traditions.

I bring extensive experience as a tutor for Norfolk Music Hub, delivering high-quality African drumming education. Workshops are suitable for all ages and abilities, with drums and percussion instruments provided.

Sessions develop listening skills, confidence, co-ordination, teamwork, and cultural awareness while creating an immediate sense of achievement and joy through group music-making.

Music-based wellbeing and team-building activities help develop positive group dynamics, improve communication, and support mental health. These sessions use collaborative music-making to foster cooperation, trust, and confidence.

Activities might include group drumming circles, singing in unison, parts, and rounds, body percussion choreography, or collaborative composition projects. The sessions are inclusive, accessible, and adapted to group needs.

My approach creates fun, safe and supportive environments where students can express themselves creatively while developing social-emotional skills.
